Starting week 2

The main focus of the next five days will be the agreed conclusions. Negotiations are expected to be difficult and time consuming – with many late nights. One of the EU staffers mentioned that the negotiations round CSW are some of the hardest done at the UN. It seems not every member state is committed to women’s rights as we might think…

This is the second draft we have been able to see, but more changes will come in, with the deadline on Tuesday afternoon for final submissions by member states.
